One of the wonderful things about Spokane is how many people are willing to reach out and help others in the community. April is Spokane Gives month, so if you’ve been looking for a way to give back to the local community, this is a great time to get involved!

What Is Spokane Gives?

Spokane Gives began in 2014 as a week to promote giving and volunteerism.  The City of Spokane partners with the Spokane County United Way to organize and measure volunteer efforts in the community.  Now, Spokane Gives is a month-long event involving tens of thousands of volunteers, with millions of dollars of impact to our community – and immeasurable impact on people’s lives.

How Can I Help?

You can get involved and help spread the love! Visit the Volunteer Spokane opportunities site to find a volunteer opportunity that sparks your passion. Give a few hours this April, or find an ongoing opportunity to help others all year long.

Or, if you’re involved in an agency that would like to host a volunteer effort, you can register your organization and opportunity on the Volunteer Spokane website.

Visit VolunteerSpokane.org to learn more about the Spokane Gives initiative, sign up for a volunteer opportunity this month, or to learn how you can help make a difference every day.
